You’ll play a vital role in supporting our customers during some of their most challenging moments, ensuring they receive the care, expertise, and solutions they deserve, and getting back to what they love doing most as easily as possible Aviva recognizes the importance of being flexible and the benefits of being together, this role will be**hybrid**– the best of both worlds.**What You’ll Do:*** Be the Expert: Review and analyze policies, appraisals, and technical reports to assess claim value and negotiate fair settlements.* Own Your Portfolio: Effectively manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in line with Aviva’s standards, with customer service at the forefront.* Deliver Exceptional Service: Create outstanding experiences for our customers, turning stressful situations into positive moments.* Make Independent Decisions: Operate within your authority, using your judgment to resolve claims efficiently.* Keep it Organized: Maintain detailed, accurate file records and adhere to all Aviva Specialty Claims protocols.* Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with various teams to produce good claims outcomes, participate in projects, come with a growth mindset, and share feedback to help us continuously improve**What You'll Bring:*** Experience: Minimum 3-5+ years of previous claims adjusting experience.* Passion: Genuine interest in Lifestyle claims—whether it’s cottage properties, or watercraft, we are looking for someone who is passionate about our products and getting our customers back to doing what they love.Bonus Points If You Have:* Progress toward or completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP/FCIP)* A post-secondary diploma or degree.* Provincial Licenses for the Atlantic provinces.* Experience with and demonstrated ability to effectively handle watercraft or habitational claims in excess of $100,000.00.**What You’ll Get:*** Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.* Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.* Outstanding Career Development opportunities.* We’ll support your professional development education.* Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year* Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion* Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental healthPlease note that we may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.
