Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies Join BBA Consultants and bring your expertise to major power system studies that shape tomorrow’s energy landscape. You’ll work on challenging projects involving power flow, short circuit, dynamic analysis, compliance studies, and harmonic analysis while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Responsibilities Perform electrical studies such as power flow, short circuit, dynamic analysis, and harmonic analysis. Model and analyze power systems using tools like PSS/E, PSLF, ETAP, ASPEN, and PSCAD. Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and proposals. Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Assist or lead technical proposal development for study opportunities. Contribute to FACTS and HVDC control system design, including STATCOM and inverter‑based renewable generation. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering (power systems specialization). P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration. At least 5 years of relevant experience in power systems and studies. Proficiency with power system software (PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD). Experience performing studies such as power flow, short circuit, and dynamic and transient analysis. Experience with Python. Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with EMTP, ASPEN, and/or RTDS. Knowledge of electrical protection and control systems. Familiarity with IEEE, NEC, or IEC standards. Company Benefits Annual base salary.
