Overview Specialist, Derivatives Operations at TMX Group (Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation, CDCC) – executes post‑trade clearing and settlement activities for Montreal Exchange derivatives, OTC derivatives, and fixed‑income products. Hybrid (2–3 days/week in Montreal, QC). Key Accountabilities Act as point of contact for collateral, banking, clearing and settlements to support all members. Maintain collateral and concentration requirements; collect collateral to satisfy margin calls, manage timely fund flows. Facilitate clearing of member transactions, perform daily cash reconciliation of currency accounts. Ensure timely completion of netting cycles, payment processing and settlements. Ensure members meet trade settlement obligations; support trade adjustments and new product listings. Provide guidance to internal teams and external clients; support business continuity, disaster recovery, default simulation and other testing. Interact with audit, regulators, technology, client services, risk and other departments. Adhere to procedures, audit requirements and internal controls; recommend process improvements. Lead and assist with projects and special assignments, including system configuration. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in commerce, business, finance, accounting (preferred). 5+ years experience in the securities financial industry. Experience in operations processes or securities accounting in the securities financial industry. Advanced technical and analytical skills; ability to propose operational solutions. Strong interpersonal, planning and prioritization skills. Self‑motivated, team player, accuracy‑focused, detail‑oriented. Advanced knowledge of collateral, banking and clearing/settlements processes, systems, capabilities. Effective written and verbal communication. Flexible to work in a time‑sensitive environment with tight deadlines. Nice to Haves Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel and other desktop applications.
