The role involves dispensing and compounding of drugs, as delegated by a Pharmacist, and handling the distribution component of Pharmacy Services, in line with Hospital Pharmacy practice standards.Base pay rangeCA$35.44/hr - CA$36.97/hrPay rate, benefits and other terms and conditions are as per the CUPE 139 Collective Agreement.ResponsibilitiesThe Pharmacy Technician is responsible for dispensing and compounding of drugs, as delegated by a Pharmacist, and the distribution component of Pharmacy Services, in keeping with the standards of Hospital Pharmacy practice.QualificationsCertification/Experience/Knowledge:Regulated Pharmacy Technician (registration with Ontario College of Pharmacists) requiredKnowledge and experience with Meditech an assetExperience in hospital pharmacy automated technologies an assetSkills/Abilities:Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word) requiredGood attendance and work record requiredValid driver’s licence requiredDemonstrated excellent judgment and proven analytical skills requiredMust demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitorsMust support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organizationBilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required.
