If so, we’d love to hear from youWe are currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our client's Finance team in Charlottetown, PEI.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare weekly payroll and issue pay stubs for employees and subcontractors, including all required remittancesProcess new hires, promotions, terminations, and Records of EmploymentPrepare and submit union remittances, maintain union agreements in payroll systems, and liaise with union benefit providersPrepare reports such as workers’ compensation, direct deposit, and employee leaveCollaborate with team members and respond to payroll inquiries in a timely and professional mannerTroubleshoot payroll issues and maintain accurate recordsQualifications & SkillsCompletion of Grade 12 (post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or a related program is an asset)Previous payroll experience (preferred), particularly in a unionized environmentKnowledge of union dues, benefit remittances, and collective agreement rulesBilingual in English and French (asset)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh proficiency with payroll and accounting softwareHigh standard of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrityWhat We OfferSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunities for growth and cross-training within the accounting departmentCompetitive salary range, plus benefits and retirement plans #J-18808-Ljbffr
