The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel in addition to verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges, and completing other assigned tasks.ResponsibilitiesPrepare the daily night audit proceedings and system back‑upsAudit, balance and report on all cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, postings, and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely informationAudit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to room charges, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followedEnsure any discrepancies are reported and brought to the attention of the Director of FinancePrepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reportsBalance and close all bank ticket codes, dailyAssist in taking and placing wake‑up calls, as neededPerform the duties of Guest Service Agent including check‑in/check‑outPerform the duties of Bell/Door/ValetHave thorough knowledge of emergency and front office proceduresEnsure the safety and well‑being of guests and staff during the overnight periodOther duties as assignedQualificationsA minimum of 2-5 years’ front desk experience as a hotel manager is preferredProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word and hospitality softwareA proven track record of being able to lead a team and to multitaskFlexibility and a willingness to work beyond scheduled hours, including on weekendsAn ability to identify areas in need of change or improvement to offer guests an excellent hotel experienceUnderstanding of and compliance with hotel policies and regulations and communicating these clearly to the staffReporting on daily operations in a timely mannerPark Hyatt Toronto is dedicated to offering employment accommodation in compliance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
