The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst with a minimum of 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Capital Markets, Risk and Regulatory reporting, Business Analysis & Planning. This role involves working in a hybrid model with a day shift. The candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing business needs, planning strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in hands-on business analysis experience (Requirements gathering, Data analysis) and preparation of FRD (Functional Requirement Documents / BRD (Business Requirement Documents)
  • Participate in client engagement (projects, discussions) and own all business analysis responsibilities from a domain/business point of view
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets, Risk (Credit Risk, Financial Risk) and Regulatory reporting, OSFI Regulatory space, CAD Retail products
  • Experience with one or more of OFSAA ERM, Axiom, Adenza, Mooody’s Analytics in Risk and Regulatory Reporting areas
  • Understanding of financial regulations such as Basel, SCCL, CCAR / FR 2590
  • Application experience with OSFI/DGS/GL Recon/CRA/OFSAA
  • Basic understanding of accounting process and accounting events (skills to accommodate EBA)
  • Should have sound understanding of financial instruments, reference data domains, source to destination data mapping
  • Experience working in agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the agile framework.
  • DIH and Data Model expertise
  • Experience in data ingestion, data transformation / enhancement, data lineage and STTM
  • Good understanding in solvency calculation (EAD, PD, LGD), reporting, and monitoring requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones
  • Write clear and well-structured business requirements documents and user stories
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and any issues.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of solutions and identify areas for further improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in business analysis and planning.
  • Proven expertise in resolving minor conflicts and issues before escalation
  • Assisting in the solution of production problems/incidents within defined SLAs.

Location:

  • Ability to be on-site at the client location in Toronto at least 3 days each week for the project.
