The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the Company’s transportation requirements and patterns. They will review and process day to day operations that are required.

Key Responsibilities:
Providing direct supervision of all workers, ensuring ongoing training requirements, discipline and procedural implementation.
Working alongside the Operations Manager and dispatcher.
Conducting ongoing observational behaviour assessments/driver training to uncover any performance issues, and creating an action plan to correct.
Attaining all of the necessary information regarding any issues by maintaining courteous, prompt and efficient customer relations.
Ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for all workers, and reporting any related issues immediately to the Operations Manager.
Ensuring company policy, systems, and industry related training is delivered to all operators as needed.
Performing Accident Investigations when company vehicles are involved in traffic accidents.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean drivers abstract is an asset.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience working with oil/gas refineries.
General understanding of, WHMIS and the Highway Traffic Act.
Proficiency with performing pre and post trip inspections, as well as accident investigations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Capability to plan, prioritize and execute against tight timelines.
Intermediate database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills within a Microsoft environment.
Willing to work flexible hours.
