Operations Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the Company’s transportation requirements and patterns. They will review and process day to day operations that are required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing direct supervision of all workers, ensuring ongoing training requirements, discipline and procedural implementation.
- Working alongside the Operations Manager and dispatcher.
- Conducting ongoing observational behaviour assessments/driver training to uncover any performance issues, and creating an action plan to correct.
- Attaining all of the necessary information regarding any issues by maintaining courteous, prompt and efficient customer relations.
- Ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for all workers, and reporting any related issues immediately to the Operations Manager.
- Ensuring company policy, systems, and industry related training is delivered to all operators as needed.
- Performing Accident Investigations when company vehicles are involved in traffic accidents.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:

- Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean drivers abstract is an asset.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- General understanding of, WHMIS and the Highway Traffic Act.
- Proficiency with performing pre and post trip inspections, as well as accident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to plan, prioritize and execute against tight timelines.
- Intermediate database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills within a Microsoft environment.
- Willing to work flexible hours.
