Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
Responsible for management of all aspects of the Department, including ordering, merchandising, sales projections, employee scheduling and promotion of the department both in-store and outside of store;
Responsible for the interviewing, training & coaching of new staff;
Provide and promote excellence in customer service, sales, gross profit, presentation, labour management, price integrity and inventory control;
Provide ongoing supervision, training, development and evaluation of department employees. Train staff to deliver excellent customer service;
Work with the ASM and Store Manager to develop a new department and grow sales
Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
Exceptional customer service skills
Well developed leadership skills required;
Minimum two (2) years experience in an Apparel/retail environment, preferably in a managerial or assistant manager role;
Post secondary education/formal training in merchandising and/or business management an asset;
Demonstrated creativity in display merchandising;
Ability to make quick decisions regarding day-to-day situations to improve quality and efficiency;
Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and night shifts.
Computer skills would be an asset;
Willingness to work with others and respond to change.
