Our client is searching the market for an experienced, entrepreneurial Production Manager. With new investment in the business fueling significant growth plans, the Production Manager role is an opportunity for the individual who would like to apply their skills as the lead for the current plant’s production and as a member of the plant’s senior leadership team. The position reports to the General Manager and will play a key role in guiding the growth, efficiency and profitability of the organization.

What you will be doing?

The Details

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring in-office attendance five days a week in alignment with the production schedule. The client offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, along with standard medical benefits, vacation time, and paid holidays.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of five years’ experience as a Production Manager in the food industry.
* Extensive experience in the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sector, specifically with fresh products such as meat, fresh bakery items, seafood, and produce (excluding long shelf-life products like crackers, cereal, or canned goods).
* Proven track record in managing production for a single-shift team of approximately 50 employees.
* Solid experience with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) practices.
* Strongly preferred: Experience in a live kill and cut facility, including humane animal handling.
* Desirable: Previous experience working with protein products.
* Desirable: Knowledge of food safety practices.
