Associate Technical Designer

Job Description:
The candidate is an eager to learn, ambitious individual with a background in technical design and basic knowledge of fabrics and garment construction. This person must be extremely passionate and willing to work in a fast-pace, high-stakes environment where they will directly contribute to the success of the business.
They will work as part of a small team which is responsible for all the Garment Design, QA & Production at Manmade. They will learn an immense amount about the garment industry and be directly involved in one of Canada’s most dynamic and energized apparel companies.
The candidate will work hand-in-hand with a high-level designer who has over 30 years experience, along with one of the co-founders of Manmade.
Responsibilities
QA & QC
o Coordinate garment inspections & lab tests
o Analyze and summarize reports
o Discuss findings
Administrative
o Filing and organizing inspection and lab reports
o Data entry to our global QA databases
Production planning reviews
o Following up with factories
o Flagging upcoming / past-due dates in production process
Garment sampling
o Measuring in-line/TOL samples
o Looking for defects, commenting and presenting
o Comparing received samples to reports
o Collaborate on corrective action plans
o Organizing samples and putting back in stock
o Competitor analysis
