WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Reporting to the Design Team Lead, the Associate Designer will support with the creation and management of creative documents of apparel built for presentation to the customers and/or for garment development & production in a timely manner. This role is balanced between both technical and creative design.


DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Participate in the creation of story, inspirational mood boards, color cards and samples for new concepts alongside Design leadership (if needed).
  • Apply the brand perspective to the research and development as required. - Support Designers in CADs, sketching and design research
  • Review customer’s documents prior to building technical files/ presentation - Create tech packs with detailed specifications
  • Support with providing the requested documents to answer the audience’s needs; (including mood board, styling, designs, CAD’s, print designs, colors card, trims, fabric quality, collection presentations, samples presentation).
  • Responsible to enter all data entry requirements into PLM (BlueCherry) and update as required for all styles as directed by collection or project leader.


REQUIRMENTS

  • DEC in Fashion Design
  • 2-4 years of Design experience
  • Must have apparel, sleepwear and/or intimates experience
  • Knowledge of garments and fabrics
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced/multi-task environment.
  • Adobe, Illustrator, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop
  • Proficient with schedules
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Organized, creative, meticulous and a team-player with a technical eye.
  • Experience in Hosiery, an asset
  • Experience with CLO Design, an asset
