The Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn Montreal Airport hotels are located in the heart of the Ville Saint-Laurent business district (TransCanada Highway and Cavendish Expressway), just minutes from Montreal-Trudeau Airport. The Courtyard, designed with the business traveler in mind, offers 160 rooms. The Residence Inn, the West Island's only long-term traveler-friendly hotel, offers 169 spacious studios and 1 or 2-bedroom suites, all with kitchenettes and complimentary breakfast. Nearly 7,000 sq.ft. of meeting space; restaurant, bar, pool.
A reservations agent is an employee of the sales team whose function is to make reservations in order to confirm to travel agencies, wholesalers or customers the availability and sale of rooms.
Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager, your main duties are:
Respond to telephone, electronic, written or in-person inquiries from travel agents, wholesalers, customers and other departments.
Publicize rates, packages, promotions, etc.
Inform customers of policies (cancellations, guarantees, restrictions, special requirements, etc.).
Allocate or reserve rooms or other services using reservation systems.
Obtain payment guarantees
Modify or cancel reservations, if necessary
All other tasks related to the position
Skills & Qualities
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage priorities, and provide outstanding customer service.
Professional attitudes and behavior (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.).
Ability to work under pressure and manage stress.
Bilingual (French and English). Fluency in other languages is an asset.
Knowledge of relevant software and reservation systems is an asset.
Front desk experience is an asset.
