General Accountabilities :
The Reliability Engineering Student will be an integral part of the maintenance planning team spanning across multiple operations in the Fort McMurray Region. The Reliability Engineering Student will be responsible for driving the maintenance schedule, analysing oil sampling results, and further the maintenance culture on site. In addition, the successful applicant is responsible for promoting the KMC safety culture, adhering to all provincial and federal laws, KMC policy, internal controls and practices, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and upholding the values of KMC Mining.

Specific Accountabilities:
• Coordinate with maintenance planners and superintendents to ensure resources are aligned to the weekly maintenance plan;
• Support maintenance team with breakdown maintenance planning as required;
• Develop and analyze weekly/monthly KPIs to generate improvement initiatives;
• Approve and reconcile SMU readings entries;
• Implement and drive cost savings initiatives within the maintenance team in an environment of continuous improvement;
• Complete failure analysis on premature failures and recommend preventative actions;
• Analysis oil sample results to provide recommendations to improve fleet reliability;
• Efficient ordering of parts through appropriate channels and approvals;
• Analysis fleet composition and replacement strategy;
• Apply project management principals to fleet overhauls in order to improve efficiency and quality of work;
• Provide a professional level of communication with Suppliers & Contractors in relation to equipment issues;
• Ensure the internal maintenance system is utilized fully to ensure transparency across the business and to ensure records are maintained accordingly;
• Ensure the site's equipment related records are collated and filed in accordance with company policy, statutory and contractual requirements;
• Act as an ambassador for KMC in all dealings with the public, management and team members.
• Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position

• Proficient with computer use; MS Office, maintenance systems, and reporting systems
