Le directeur de l’Exploitation est chargé de diriger et de guider efficacement les activités d’exploitation quotidiennes d’un magasin dans son ou ses secteurs assignés. Le Centre de déploiement rapide est un établissement complexe dont le volume élevé d’activités se déroule à un rythme soutenu et nécessite un souci du détail en matière de planification quotidienne, de réalisation des objectifs, de communication et de suivi des progrès. Le directeur de l’Exploitation collaborera avec le directeur général ainsi que le directeur général adjoint afin de définir et de transmettre la vision, la mission et les stratégies d’exploitation du Centre de déploiement rapide, et ce, dans le but d’assurer la réalisation des objectifs clés en matière de rendement. Il doit établir une culture de travail de haut rendement qui permet d’améliorer constamment les résultats de l’entreprise et d’offrir un service à la clientèle exceptionnel tout en favorisant un milieu de travail sécuritaire. Il joue un rôle primordial dans l’établissement d’un modèle d’amélioration continue en analysant les tendances du marché et en encourageant ses équipes à se poser des questions exploratoires afin de participer activement à l’identification et à la mise en œuvre d’occasions d’amélioration en matière de clientèle, de service et de coût.
Responsabilités liées au poste :
Diriger et encadrer une équipe, avec pour objectif l’atteinte des mesures de rendement clés, ainsi que des buts fixés pour le Centre de déploiement rapide.
Établir des plans de travail quotidiennement et hebdomadairement et attribuer les tâches liées aux postes de manière juste et constante.
Fixer des objectifs quotidiens, établir un suivi des progrès et apporter des modifications quand celles-ci s’avèrent nécessaires.
Offrir aux associés un encadrement et une formation continus et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives conformément aux politiques et à la méthode d’exploitation normalisée (MEN) de l’entreprise.
S’assurer que les associés disposent des outils et du matériel nécessaires pour mener leurs fonctions avec succès.
Assurer un suivi continu auprès de tous les associés du CD en utilisant le processus d’évaluation formelle et en communiquant directement et quotidiennement avec eux.
Apporter son aide au directeur général adjoint en matière d’objectifs liés aux finances, à l’exploitation, aux ressources humaines et aux services du centre de distribution en vue d’apporter des améliorations et d’accroître le rendement de façon continue, ce qui permettra de réduire le coût général des services.
Résoudre les problèmes se rapportant aux clients dans un délai raisonnable.
Encadrer, former et perfectionner les associés de façon informelle et dans le cadre de programmes de formation, leur fournir une rétroaction portant sur leur rendement au travail, rétroaction autant informelle (p. ex. : encadrement dans l’aire de vente) que formelle (p. ex. : évaluation écrite).
Maintenir un environnement de travail agréable en créant un milieu de travail centré sur les employés qui fait preuve d’intérêt envers l’ensemble des associés.
Établir une culture de sécurité au travail dans l’ensemble de l’entreprise en respectant les politiques et procédures en matière de sécurité de Home Depot.
Superviser et rappeler à tous les associés les pratiques liées à la sécurité et à la prévention des pertes.
Diriger et administrer les secteurs fonctionnels ainsi que les quarts de travail qui lui ont été assignés.
Effectuer occasionnellement des déplacements.
Expérience et connaissances requises :
Répondre aux exigences minimales en ce qui a trait à l’ancienneté (un an) et avoir obtenu le code de rendement M+.
Détenir un baccalauréat ou un diplôme collégial en gestion de l’exploitation, en administration ou en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de préférence.
Posséder un minimum de trois ans d’expérience en gestion des activités de distribution.
Avoir une accréditation à titre de professionnel de la logistique (PLog) ou de l’Institut canadien du trafic et du transport (ICTT) constitue un atout.
Posséder une expérience en gestion d’un centre de distribution mécanisé ou automatisé doté de nombreux processus de prélèvement-emballage constitue un réel atout.
Avoir de l’expérience avec le système ERP de SAP ou Manhattan WMS constitue un précieux atout.
Posséder une expérience antérieure en gestion d’une ou plusieurs nouvelles entreprises en démarrage (précieux atout).
Maîtriser Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint et avoir une connaissance pratique d’Access et de Project Management.
Être en mesure de travailler selon des heures et des quarts de travail variables, y compris les fins de semaine et les jours fériés.
Être en mesure d’effectuer des déplacements de plus de 24 heures de 5 % à 10 % du temps. Il faut savoir qu’à des fins de formation, il y aura de nombreux déplacements aux États-Unis au cours de la première année de l’entrée en fonction.

Position Purpose:

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership and direction for all day-to-operations within their area(s) of responsibility. The MDO is a fast pace, high volume, complex operation requiring attention to detail in the areas of daily planning, goal setting, communication, and monitoring progress. The Operations Manager will partner with the GM & AGM’s to develop and cascade the MDO ’s vision, mission, and operational strategies to ensure the achievement of all key performance objectives. The OM is responsible for building a high performance work culture that consistently drives results, delivers exceptional customer service, while promoting a safe working environment. The OM will play a key role in building a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing trends and actively engaging their teams by asking probing questions to identify and implement improvement opportunities in the areas of people, service, and cost.

Position Responsibilities:
Leads and manages the team to achieve the key performance measures and objectives for the site.
Develops the daily/ weekly work plan and assigns job tasks in a fair and consistent manner.
Sets daily goals, monitors progress and makes required adjustments on the fly.
Provides ongoing coaching and training to associates and administers corrective action as per the company policies & standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Ensures Associates have the required tools and equipment necessary to perform their jobs successfully.
Provides constant feedback to DC associates through the formal review process as well as directs daily communication.
Assists AGM with DC's financial, operational, people and service objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve.
Responds to and resolves customer issues in a timely manner
Coaches, trains, and develops Associates informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback.
Maintains a “great place to work” environment by creating an employee-centered work place that demonstrates care and concern for all Associates.
Ensures a culture of safety throughout the organization by following Home Depot safety policies and procedures.
Monitors and reinforces safety and shrink prevention to all associates
Leads and manages functional areas and shifts as assigned

Knowledge/Experience Required:
Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements M+.
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Minimum 3 years management experience in a distribution operation.
PLog or CITT designation would be an asset.
Experience managing within a mechanized/ automated distribution center with multiple pick-pack processes is a definite asset.
Experience with SAP ERP or Manhattan WMS a definite asset.
Previous experience with managing one or more new start-up operations an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Access and Project Management.
Ability to work flexible shifts and hours including weekends and holidays.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time however there will be extensive travel to the United States during the first year of employment (for training purposes).
