Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read about our family.
Im a single parent of three young children (ages 1, 4, and 5) and I work in essential infrastructure at the local water treatment plant. My job directly supports our communitys drinking water, which means my schedule is stable long-term but can be unconventional and occasionally requires flexibility when urgent issues arise.
Work Schedule & What That Means
For most of the year, I work a 4 on / 4 off rotation consisting of:
Two 7am7pm day shifts
Followed by two 7pm7am night shifts
At times, I also move into a MondayFriday 7am4pm schedule, depending on operational needs. Schedules are typically set months in advance, but because this is critical infrastructure work, rare last-minute changes can happen especially during early spring and summer.
Because Im parenting solo, Im looking for a nanny who is comfortable with split shifts and overnight care during my night rotations.
