General contractor is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Vancouver. The Operations Manager will oversee the areas of Site Operations and Project Management teams on ICI and residential high-rise projects. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.Key Responsibilities of Operations ManagerDevelop KPI’s with the Leadership team to monitor performance to measure productivity, effectiveness and the delivery of resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives to driveCreate a culture of continuous improvement that evaluate procedures and practices and implement improvements that serve the primary goals of revenue growth, cost efficiency, customer service excellence and employee engagement to drive performanceEnsures project sites are living the core value of “Safety First” through compliance with company safety programs and with applicable laws and regulationsOversee the project teams through the planning, execution, construction and final close out of each projectMonitors projects at a high level, to ensure that they are built according to approved plans, specifications, drawings and applicable building codes and schedulesOversee and execute Quality Control programs to ensure high quality standards to deliver customer satisfactionLabour forecasting and planning with the Human Resources Department to determine hiring needs and timing of resources requiredDevelops team through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignmentsRequired Knowledge and Skills of Operations ManagerMinimum 10 years in commercial construction with previous experience in leading a construction operations departmentDiploma or degree in Building Construction, Engineering, ArchitectureIn-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles along with estimating, scheduling, procurement, design; applicable codes and regulations, basic understanding of related mechanical, electrical and structural systemsProven track record in leading and motivating a teamAbility to train/mentor/supervise others in order to enhance performanceProven hands-on, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)Proven experience with Project Management Software.Excellent leadership and entrepreneurial skillsAnalytical, detail oriented, hands on, and a team playerCustomer service orientation with the ability to deal with customers under stressful situationsSkilled at managing multiple projects, opportunity analysis and decision-makingNecessary CompetenciesCommitment to SafetyDrive for ResultsPlanning and OrganizingProblem SolvingInterpersonal SavvyIntegrity and TrustCustomer FocusBenefitsCompensation is competitiveBenefits include Life Insurance, Group Health & DentalRRSPsProfessional and career development opportunitiesIdeal Candidate:• Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be consideredPlease clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
