Our client, a large general contractor, is seeking a Quality Managerwithexperience in Quality Management overseeing large building projects located in Vancouver, British Columbia or Toronto, Ontario. Salary $130,000+. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.Responsibilities of Quality Manager:Assume the role of Quality Manager by implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System in respect of all quality management requirements including the development of quality control plans or inspection and testing plans and supporting the development of work methodsAssist our Trade Partners in the development and maintenance of their Project Quality PlansOversee the implementation of the QMS and on-going conformance to the Quality Management SystemManage all quality processes to ensure the Project is constructed in accordance with the contract requirementsOversee the development and implementation of corrective and preventative actions and continuously monitor the QMS for improvement opportunitiesCoordinate monthly meetings to review status of quality management for the Design and Construction activitiesThe Quality Manager will liaise with the Client Representative on an on-going basis to address and resolve quality concernsIdentify, monitor, log, address and resolve quality issues and nonconformances throughout the Design and Construction. Ensure proper documentation of quality issues and nonconformances is completedEnsuring adequate staffing is maintained in the office and on-site in order to satisfy quality requirements of the projectSupport the hiring of individuals and companies involved in Quality Management to ensure that such individuals possess the required qualifications to perform the work and that such companies have the required quality programs respecting the workManage all quality processes, surveying and control of work such that the project is constructed in accordance with Project requirementsQualifications of Quality ManagerA minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years’ experience in quality management on projects, specifically with experience insimilar large-scale construction projects. Experienced with construction of hospitals a major assetDemonstrated knowledge of experience with ISO 9001:2008 and / or 9001:2015 quality management system requirementsProfessional Engineer designation a strong asset for the Quality Manager.Demonstrated experience in managing quality processes for design build projectsDemonstrated experience in managing a team of quality control / quality assurance staffKnowledge and experience with design and construction quality managementThe Quality Manager had the ability to multi-task and prioritizeThe Quality Manager has the ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environmentProficiency using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook and other operational systemsIdeal Candidate:• Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.Please clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
