Overview Associate, Real Estate Investments at Hazelview Investments Hazelview is seeking an Associate to join our Multi Family Real Estate Investment Management team. We actively invest in all commercial real estate asset classes globally with a strong focus on Canada and the United States. The Associate will provide a range of support to the team and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. They are a passionate self-starter and eager for experience in the real estate industry. Core Values Trust Ambition Collaboration Ownership Mindset Having Fun Responsibilities Work with the Real Estate Investment Management team to assess the acquisition of real estate assets across North America, including extensive property valuations, investment committee submissions, and market research across various asset classes. Assist in due diligence during property acquisition and support ongoing monitoring of direct real estate investments. Support ongoing asset management reporting requirements, including annual budgeting and periodic reporting. Conduct on-site property due diligence during initial acquisition and ongoing support as needed. Maintain detailed market research on fundamentals relevant to all commercial real estate asset classes. Assist senior management on various assignments as necessary. Job Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce or Real Estate program 1+ years of Real Estate experience in Investment Banking, Real Estate Finance, Private Equity, Private Debt, Fund Management, or a major lending institution Exceptional computer and financial modelling skills Working towards the CFA is considered an asset Experience with Argus is considered an asset Qualifications Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills Integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality Effective listening and ability to respond appropriately Ability to work independently with sound judgment in difficult situations Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently Strong organizational and time management skills to multi-task and meet deadlines Flexible with a can-do attitude; no task is too big or too small Problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail EEO Statement Hazelview Investments is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer.
