As the Lead Data Integration Specialist, you will lead initiatives by engineering data solutions for analytics, supporting the team through coaching with insurance data and advanced programming tools. You will be responsible for providing business value through the creation, maintenance, and implementation of back‑end data solutions (e.g., Source System Data Store & Business Data Store) throughout the software development lifecycle and effectively communicating that value to a business audience. How You Will Create Impact Lead and guide the technical aspects of multiple machine‑learning projects and data science teams. Improve the pipeline with the AMTB team, integrating reconciliation across various assets in this vertical. Build physical data models and schemas from conceptual and business data models and requirements. Lead the design of analytic and machine‑learning solutions, working with architects and solution designers and overseeing junior resources. Define and promote designs for analytic solutions, considering scalability, automation, security, long‑term maintainability, and performance. Work with BI Architects on complex data projects and lead the design of data engineering solutions, ensuring outcomes meet business objectives. Define and promote design principles based on the solution (e.g., REST API) and best practice in data handling (e.g., security, governance), SDLC (e.g., unit testing), production code standards, and SLA compliance. Enable and support ML Ops practices, standards, and guidelines. How You Will Succeed Have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and influence change, focusing on client needs. Build trusting relationships and guide colleague development. To Join Our Team 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Integration or a related field. Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience leading teams to solve complex problems using analytical thinking, tools, and judgment. Understanding of the insurance industry and experience with Policy Center data is an asset. Excellent knowledge of data analysis, programming, modeling, and ML techniques; data warehouse and data management; research, architecture, and design. Proficiency with SQL, Python, Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory (required). Experience with MicroStrategy and Microsoft Fabric/Power BI is an asset. Position primarily works with non‑Francophone groups and teams outside Québec; proficiency in English required.
