Our products deliver nuanced, industry-specific translations of unprecedented quality at unmatched speed.Position Overview:We are looking to hire a language expert specialized in Spanish to serve as one of our Linguist Analysts, a position straddling our Linguistic Operations and Technology departments. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing translation data, managing client feedback, and facilitating ongoing refinements to our products in Spanish.Key Responsibilities:Establish evaluation protocols and conduct in-depth analyses of machine translation output and training data, focusing on linguistic nuance and scope-specificity, with an eye towards the characteristics and limits of the very latest approaches in NLP.Process feedback on our A.I.-based translation tools, ensuring timely response and issue resolution.Provide punctual EN>ES translation services for the Technology team.Provide insight and recommendations based on linguistic analysis to enhance MT quality and accuracy.Assist in the development and refinement of translation engine models, with a focus on formal Spanish standards (re: typography, grammar, scope-specific style, formatting, etc.), including localization.Interface between our Linguistic Operations team and Technology team, facilitating effective collaboration.Qualifications and Skills:Native fluency in Spanish – with a good command of the idiosyncrasies of Mexican Spanish, in particular. Excellent command of English is a must. Proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and/or French will be considered an asset.Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Publishing (post-edition), Literature, or a closely-related discipline.Proven experience in English to Spanish translation, particularly in the Finance and Legal domains. Marked interest in programming or mathematics – especially pertaining to NLP – will be considered an asset.Excellent working knowledge of modern translation practices and environments – including CAT tools and project management tools – is imperative.Familiarity with Excel is a must, as is a good understanding of best practices in project management through dedicated tools (Jira).Strong analytical skills, methodical mindset, and interest in abstraction and mathematical thinking.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.Good tolerance for stress and efficiency in juggling multiple tasks dynamically is a must.Marked sense of initiative, and ability to work both independently as well as in team environments.Cheerful, collaborative and open-minded attitude, with a strong sense of deditation to client success. #J-18808-Ljbffr
