About the Role Join to apply for the Automation Engineer (CEP) role at BBA Consultants located in Québec City. As a CEP in Automation, you will work in the Process Control and Operational Technologies department, supporting plant automation systems and client projects. Type of Position Regular full‑time Responsibilities Program automated systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, operator interfaces) Develop and maintain solid client relationships Participate in executing detailed engineering projects Draft technical documents, calculation notes and study reports Participate in project management (execution, costs, schedules) Attend internal or client coordination meetings Perform site surveys Assist with equipment commissioning, both onsite and remotely Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering or equivalent training Member of a Canadian professional engineering association Available for short‑ and long‑term work assignments at client locations or sites Valid driver’s licence Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with BBA offices and clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with BBA offices and clients in Québec Asset: interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors Asset: experience in the mining sector Asset: ASP Construction card Benefits Annual base salary Annual premium program for all regular employees Onsite mobility premium Access to a time bank Cellphone program Group insurance plan that starts on day 1, including short‑term and long‑term disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave A premium through the Employee Referral program About BBA BBA is one of Canada’s leading private consulting engineering firms, with over 45 years of experience serving the energy and natural resources industry.
