Automation Engineer

If so, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for you As a CEP in Automation, you'll be joining the Process Control and Operational Technologies department at our Québec City office. This multidisciplinary team will support your career growth, whether you choose to specialize in a niche area or develop a broader, generalist profile. You'll work with a motivated, dynamic group, ready to coach you on projects and guide you throughout your professional journey. Responsibilities Program automated systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, operator interfaces) Develop and maintain solid client relationships Participate in executing detailed engineering projects Draft technical documents, calculation notes and study reports Participate in project management (execution, costs, schedules) Attend internal or client coordination meetings Perform site surveys Assist with equipment commissioning, both onsite and remotely Values and qualities Results-driven Willingness to work together while having fun Rigour and ethics Interest in solving highly complex challenges Autonomy and adaptability Qualifications and requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering or any other equivalent training Member of a Canadian professional engineering association Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites Valid driver’s licence Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec Asset: interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors Asset: experience in the mining sector Asset: ASPConstruction card An overview of BBA’s total rewards Annual base salary Annual premium program for all regular employees Onsite mobility premium Access to a time bank Cellphone program Group insurance plan that starts on day 1, including short-term and long-term disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave A premium through the Employee Referral program BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including market conditions, education, verified and relevant work experience, technical assessments, qualifications, certifications and other key skills and experience.
