Electrical Engineering Co-op Student, Buildings - Winter 2026 Join WSP’s NCRA M&E Property & Buildings Team as an Electrical Engineering Co‑op Student in Ottawa. You will report to an Electrical Manager and support design, drafting and modeling on property and building projects. Key Responsibilities Generate basic electrical design, load calculations, and power distribution schematics. Produce AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models for electrical systems. Assist with BIM360 services, MicroStation drafting, and coordination studies. Perform building code reviews, including Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Authority, and IEEE standards. Collaborate with engineers and project managers under supervision. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D. Familiarity with arc flash, load, fault, coordination studies, lighting, grounding, etc. is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and a team player. Desired Skills Exposure to Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Electrical Safety Authority regulations. Knowledge of BIM 360 and Revit 3D modeling.
