Role Overview As an Engagement Manager II, you’ll maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and growth. You will work closely with the integrated account team to move our customers’ key initiatives from concept to results, solving complex challenges and delivering exceptional satisfaction. You’ll ensure customers realize the full value of Akamai’s solutions through strategic planning, technical acumen, and cross‑team collaboration. Key Responsibilities Own program management and act as the trusted advisor that helps customers get the most value out of solutions. Architect and manage web performance, cloud computing, and security solutions. Define account strategy, establish key relationships, and maintain a project pipeline. Lead a cross‑functional team and develop a culture of excellence to empower and encourage team synergy. Partner with sales and pre‑sales, advocate on behalf of the customer, expanding and deepening the use of Akamai products and services. Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent. Experience in a customer‑facing role with a consulting process to ensure customer success. Strong track record managing and delivering large technical customer projects. Knowledge of DevOps, web development, web performance, with protocol knowledge such as HTTPS, DNS. Familiarity with cloud security technologies and basic methods to protect data, applications, and infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud compute technologies and basic skills to design, implement, and manage cloud‑based systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical information and manage strategic & tactical conversations with stakeholders.
