If you’re ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America — we want to hear from you About the Role The Aggregates Manager is responsible for safety and operational performance at aggregate operations across the Okanagan region. The Manager drives operational excellence to achieve production targets, budgets, objectives and goals. Responsibilities include executing safety policies, commercial sales strategy, performance plans, cost savings, KPI targets and managing equipment fleet. What You’ll Accomplish Demonstrate a commitment to safety and communicate a positive safety culture through leadership by example. Develop and update annual budgets, forecasts, objectives and capital expenditure plans. Implement strategic plans and reviews. Set short‑ and long‑term plans to ensure planned growth of the division while remaining competitive. Promote a culture of performance by developing goals and objectives and tracking performance. Identify CAPEX opportunities to increase performance. Conduct financial review of monthly statements; approve purchasing; work with the accountant on accounts receivable and manage working capital. Drive sales and marketing, develop and maintain customer base, set pricing strategies, and maintain effective community and government relations. Responsible for production, maintenance and maximum utilization of equipment and personnel. Monitor operational effectiveness through KPI analysis. Develop operational plans and coordinate between Sales, Service, Marketing, Logistics and Operations. Secure reserves to extend shelf life and ensure growth without undue cost. Ensure compliance with local, provincial and federal regulations and adhere to Amrize best practices and permit conditions. Manage HR: hiring, dismissal, promotion, training & development, union contracts, positive relationships, teamwork, safety and environmental program compliance. Commit to health, safety and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety. What We’re Looking For Education: University Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent field experience. Field of Study Preferred: Business or related field. Required Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of management experience, 5 years of field experience. Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite, SAP, Google Suite. Travel Requirements: 10%. Additional Requirements: Strong political and business acumen to engage senior customers, politicians and owners. Understanding of financials and performance metrics. Ability to work comfortably under pressure. Proven team leadership. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Strong communication, negotiation and change management skills. Excellent knowledge of paving, asphalt and construction industry in a unionized environment. Ability to foster a strong safety culture. Independent thinker. High capacity to work under pressure and stress. Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators when required. What We Offer $135,000 – $145,000 annually.
