Specialist, Buyer‑Planner Join our dynamic team at Jubilant Radiopharma as a Specialist, Buyer‑Planner. Role Overview The Specialist, Buyer‑Planner is a key member of the production planning team. This role coordinates production activities by planning and purchasing raw materials, supplies, and equipment. The specialist prevents material and inventory shortages, resolves critical material needs, rationalizes and consolidates suppliers, and drives cost‑reduction opportunities. Opportunities to participate in special projects or cross‑functional teams are also included. Key Responsibilities Oversee sourcing and procurement for all company requirements. Use SAP MRP and Excel to manage supply based on current demand while maintaining accurate inventory levels and appropriate safety stocks. Escalate problems to management promptly when necessary. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, rationalize and consolidate suppliers, negotiate best pricing and terms, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Lead monthly meetings with key suppliers. Manage delivery status, verify delivery schedules and Certificates of Analysis (COA), and coordinate logistics with shipping, receiving, warehouse, quality, and planning teams to ensure flow meets schedule. Write investigations and corrective/action preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier or material chain‐of‑supply issues. Initiate change control for raw material or supplier changes. Reconcile invoice discrepancies with purchase orders in coordination with Finance. Enter and maintain purchase orders in SAP. Maintain Supply‑Chain master data, including material and Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring 100% data accuracy. Monitor vendor performance, produce periodic reports, and take corrective action in accordance with current SOPs and GMP guidelines. Provide purchasing and planning support to all functional groups. Identify delays in raw materials that could affect production schedule and communicate information to the Planning team to expedite procurement. Assist requisitioners in proper creation and structuring of requisition requests. Participate in process improvement initiatives for the department and the company. Assist with return and repair processing, coordinate with vendors to resolve non‑conforming items, and collaborate with Quality and Warehouse to complete returns and corrective actions. Participate in Sales & Operations meetings and the Supply‑Chain Committee. Undertake any other tasks assigned by Management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience. APICS or SCMP certification is a plus. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry. Previous purchasing experience and proficiency with SAP. Bilingual in French and English (required for interacting with suppliers outside Quebec). Experience in a GMP or BPF environment is an asset.
