As we scale, we’re looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and guide our next-generation gaming platform. Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer who thrives in high-performance environments and excels at building large-scale, modular, and secure systems. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of our next-generation platform, from system design to production deployment, ensuring everything we build is clean, performant, and future-proof. You will be both hands-on at the keyboard and an inspirational leader, holding the team to the highest technical standards while fostering collaboration and accountability. Key Responsibilities Architecture & System Design: Build a modular, service-oriented backend and frontend architecture designed for scale, security, and long-term maintainability. High-Performance Engineering: Ensure the platform is lightning-fast, responsive, and capable of handling very high concurrency under heavy load. Hands-On Development: Write clean, optimized, and well-tested code while guiding the team with practical examples and technical leadership. Technical Leadership: Mentor senior engineers, hold peers accountable to high standards, and instill best practices across engineering. Scalability & Security: Design infrastructure and codebases that are resilient, secure, and efficient, with a zero-compromise approach to cutting corners. DevOps & CI/CD: Build and advance pipelines for seamless testing, quality assurance, and continuous delivery. Quality First: Prioritize rigorous testing and QA processes, ensuring no technical debt or instability is introduced. Innovation: Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to keep the platform at the cutting edge. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-traffic platforms. Strong expertise in Node.js, React/Next.js, and modern backend frameworks. Deep understanding of modular architectures, microservices, and cloud-native applications. Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), distributed systems, and database design (SQL and NoSQL). Expertise in security best practices for high-value platforms. Proven success in building CI/CD pipelines and automation for large engineering teams. Hands-on leadership: demonstrated ability to lead while actively contributing to the codebase.
