We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Architect to lead the technical design, development, and integration of our enterprise ERP solutions. You will be responsible for defining architecture standards, enabling scalable implementations, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and guiding development teams through best-practice delivery. As a trusted technical advisor, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital systems landscape across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end technical architecture for D365 F&O implementations including data, integration, customisations, and environments. Design and document solution blueprints, leveraging Microsoft best practices and Dynamics 365 framework capabilities. Drive code quality, technical governance, performance optimisation, and security compliance. Guide development teams in X++, Azure services, Power Platform, and DevOps automation practices. Oversee data migration strategies—including tooling, conversion processing, and reconciliation. Architect and implement integrations with internal/external systems using APIs, Data Entities, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Event‑Driven patterns. Partner with Functional Architects and Business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Support build‑vs‑buy decisions; assess ISV solutions and conduct impact analysis for product updates and releases. Manage environment strategy: deployment pipelines, sandbox usage, and code branching models via Azure DevOps. Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, performance assessments, and integration troubleshooting. Act as a subject‑matter expert for ERP product evolution, including Microsoft’s One Version update cadence. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years in MS Dynamics AX / D365 F&O technical roles, including Technical Lead or Architect‑level responsibility. Strong hands‑on knowledge of X++ development and customisation frameworks. Expertise in Data Entities, OData, Dual‑Write, and DMF tooling. Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps pipelines. Experience in large, complex ERP implementations with multi‑site rollout or global footprint. Solid understanding of ERP domains such as Finance, SCM, and Manufacturing. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse. Familiarity with D365 security design (roles, duties, privileges). Proven ability to mentor engineers, influence stakeholders, and lead cross‑functional delivery teams. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or Technical Architect credentials. Experience with ISVs (e.g., WMS, Tax, eCommerce) and industry‑specific accelerators. Exposure to CI/CD automation in ERP and cloud environments.
