OverviewEducational Assistant (In-Home Opportunity) for Youbou, British Columbia. This position supports IN-HOME programming for the 2025-2026 school year and includes Friday daytime hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM). The role involves assisting with pre-planned lessons and life skills activities, supporting therapy follow-up, facilitating home learning activities and virtual programming, and collaborating with a team including therapists, a home learning support teacher, parents, and the Inclusive Education Coordinator. A portion of the student program takes place in an Outdoor Education setting.ResponsibilitiesCarry out pre-planned lessons and life skills activities tailored to each student’s needs.Support therapy follow-up and engage students in home learning activities and virtual programming.Collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive team with therapists, a home learning support teacher, parents, and the Inclusive Education Coordinator.Assist in activities that require flexibility, compassion, and a learner-centered approach.Participate in Outdoor Education settings as part of the program.Qualifications, Experience, Credentials and/Or SkillsExperience and/or EA certification is highly valued.Strong interest, related experience, or relevant training with a genuine willingness to learn and grow in this field.Ability to embody Christian values, empathetic nature, flexibility, creativity, patience, and enthusiasm.Experience working with school-aged children and a background in special needs is advantageous but not required.First Aid with CPR Level C and AED are a requirement of the job.RemunerationHourly rate: $24.00 - $28.90Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAdministrativeIndustriesEducationLocation: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
