With a strong presence in the industry and a commitment to innovation and service, they are looking to add a Controls Salesperson to their team. This role would have a focus in the lower mainland, to grow into a role with regional responsibilities across BC.Position OverviewThis opportunity is ideal for someone with a sales background in controls and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of HVAC system design and controls, ideally with experience in both service and construction environments.This is a position that comes with a salary, and additional compensation, targeting the $130,000-$150,000+ range.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and nurture relationships with key industry professionals—engineers, architects, contractors, developers, and building owners—to expand business and meet strategic goalsManage and grow existing customer accounts and source net new business.Understand customer requirements, to recommend appropriate solutions.Recommend retrofit solutions and product alternatives to address specific client needs, including system startups and modificationsContribute to the rollout of new products and services within the marketOffer guidance to contractors and assist in preparing project quotesStay informed on industry regulations, codes, and market developments to ensure compliance and identify growth opportunitiesDemonstrate a proactive approach to personal and professional developmentEngage in self-learning and participate in factory visits or manufacturer training to stay current on new products and software toolsParticipate in team meetings and relevant industry events (e.g., SMACNA, MCA, VRCA)Required Skills & QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and operationsDegree or diploma in a technical discipline preferredMinimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in HVAC or Building AutomationAbility to interpret mechanical and technical drawingsStrong communication abilities—verbal, written, and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsCapable of working independently under pressureStrategic mindset with an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for innovationHigh level of personal integrity and a commitment to collaboration and respectThis position comes with a competitive compensation package including a pension plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.If this position is appealing to you, please submit your resume (in Word‑doc form) to Thomas.
