OverviewWe are looking for a seasoned Tax Manager to lead and strengthen direct tax services. In this role, you will take responsibility for advising on tax-efficient strategies, guiding complex transactions and restructurings, and supporting a diverse portfolio of international and local clients. You’ll work collaboratively across teams, mentor junior professionals, and contribute to the growth and improvement of tax processes and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead tax planning initiatives and implement strategies to optimize clients' direct tax liabilities.Provide advice on tax implications of corporate restructurings, financings, M&A, and cross-border investments.Support a variety of ad-hoc tax advisory engagements for both international and local clients.Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and manage tax refund applications.Coordinate with tax authorities during audits and examinations.Deliver technical training and high-quality support to accounting and audit teams.Stay updated on developments in domestic and international direct tax legislation.Identify opportunities for service line expansion and business development.Review and enhance internal tax processes and systems for efficiency and compliance.Serve as a key mentor and technical reviewer for junior team members.QualificationsACCA qualified, or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) or similar environment.In-depth knowledge of Maltese accounting standards and tax legislation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese; additional languages are an advantage.Ability to manage deadlines, work proactively, balance autonomy and teamwork, and build strong client relationships.What the Role OffersCompetitive salary with benefits aligned to experience.Professional development and career progression opportunities.A collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.The chance to work on a wide range of direct tax matters and complex client cases.Note: We adhere to strict data protection policies to ensure that your information is secure and only shared with potential employers with your explicit consent to ensure your confidentiality throughout the hiring process #J-18808-Ljbffr
