Our client is looking for a bilingual legal assistant with corporate secretarial experience in a public company. He will assist a VP and his team.

YOUR ROLE:
As Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation of board documents and other financial and legal documents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing documents for meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees;
- Prepare documents such as proxy circulars and annual information forms;
- Coordinate Board and committee schedules;
- Prepare federal, provincial and extra-provincial registrations;
- Coordinate signing of contracts and legal documents;
- File, download and transmit press releases, financial reports and other documents (SEDI/SEDAR/TSX);
- Prepare and manage documents related to minutes and resolutions;
- Participate in the payment of directors' fees with the Finance and Payroll Department;
- Assist the Vice-President with document management;
- Receive telephone calls and resolve issues arising from calls or requests.
- College studies in Paralegal Technology;
- Relevant experience in a similar position in a public company (an asset);
- Good command of spoken and written French and English;
- Excellent management of priorities and deadlines;
- Precision, attention to detail and meticulousness required;
- Knowledge of Diligent Boards or a secure portal for board documentation;
- Discretion and work ethic;
- Respectful of data protection and confidentiality policies;
- Proactivity and good problem-solving skills;
- Strong ability to adapt and learn;
- Good computer skills: Microsoft Office suite and Teams;
