Your Impact OpenText is seeking a Senior Manager of Solution Delivery and Development to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and lead delivery teams within the IT organization. This individual will be the lead on various initiatives within the IT domain and will work closely with internal Technology teams to design, develop, and implement system enhancements. What The Role Offers Own IT related solutions/programs in the Professional Services IT Systems domain (e.g., Netsuite OpenAir) Manage onshore development workforce Partner with offshore development COE to ensure staffing Implement continuous improvement development through modern coding frameworks and best practices Thread multi‑phased solutions/projects across multiple releases into one coherent solution/program Work with stakeholders and within the team to develop aggressive, yet achievable, delivery roadmaps Drive the adoption of agile principles by collaborating with the Agile Coach, empowering the team to deliver value through continuous improvement and innovation Accountable for IT HLD (High‑Level Design) / DDD (Detailed Design Document): content, completion and quality Drive & contribute to project solutions – JAD sessions, responsible for gathering input / documenting HLD Align all technology teams (Digital, Network) when delivering IT solutions Support Architecture (Enterprise and Solution Architects) in defining overall solution approach in partnership with technology stakeholders Support the Project Manager throughout the project life cycle Work with Enterprise Architecture and procurement on defining vendor expectations Create and manage governance/gating artifacts in collaboration with PM, application teams and governance Manage change requests and negotiate code drop dates in balance with business requested delivery dates Support testing teams/activities: test plan/case consultation and manage defect triage with appropriate application teams Work closely with third‑party technology vendors; challenge vendor design to ensure solutions satisfy business needs Liaise with other technology solution delivery groups including Network and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and application support for the business Develop realistic project plans with clearly stated deliverables and timelines in collaboration with the Business Unit, Go‑to‑Market, Planning, and Engagement teams Manage project and portfolio budgets and assist in managing cost‑center financials Coordinate team efforts to resolve complex issues and conflicts and, when necessary, escalates to executive level Endorse quality, innovation and timely communication of issues/opportunities. Coach team members in delivery, issue management and risk management What You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required 10+ years of experience in the information technology field 5+ years of experience in a project delivery role in a fast‑paced/agile environment Previous team management experience Previous IT program management experience preferred General understanding of business operations and product delivery Demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex IT projects and programs Ability to successfully implement and control budgets Effective communication of technical information to both technical and non‑technical personnel Creative, detail‑oriented and capable of balancing the big picture with day‑to‑day needs of the organization Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills Excellent organizational skills Familiar and comfortable utilizing the Scrum methodology Ability to inform, educate and influence managers and employees to support goals and initiatives in a matrix environment Ability to communicate, present and negotiate at any level of management across the organization One Last Thing OpenText’s efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
