Electronic Engineer

Purpose of Role: As part of the instrumentation and control electronics department, the electronic engineer under the supervision of the Instrumentation and control supervisor will be responsible for providing technological solutions and systems to respond to all the testing and evaluation needs of the Canadian Navy.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills:

Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance, which requires Canadian citizenship and 10 years of residence in Canada (MANDATORY).

Very broad application of general Electronic Engineering.

Design solutions for different navy testing and validation needs;

Understanding and Analyzing of Electronic Circuits, Control and Automation systems.

Design and validate electronic measurement and control systems;

Perform trials and acquire/analyze test data in house and in the field;

Produce/design test plans, documentation and schematics;

Write technical reports and test documents in English.

Managing projects for successful competition from start to end.

Electrical Engineering with a “Generalist” approach.

Strong Hardware/Software electronic understanding and analysis skills.

Manual dexterity for test-rigs, soldering and working with prototypes.
