OverviewHealth Care Aide | Permanent Part Time .4 EveningsLocation: Fort Saskatchewan Care Community, Fort Saskatchewan, AlbertaEmployer: Sienna Senior LivingWhat You’ll Be DoingBe a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team in a fast-paced environment, forming a deep understanding of residents and their living experience.Build relationships with residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich daily health and well-being.Contribute to the culture of the home with a focus on helping residents live fully, every day.How You’ll SucceedProvide Resident Supervision and AssistanceSupport residents with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per individual care plansProvide Resident Care and ServicesAid residents with communication and connections by encouraging the use of glasses, hearing aids, and other assistive devicesWith applicable training, administer specific medications under the supervision of a registered health professionalEnsure residents have access to mobility or assistive devices (e.g., canes, walkers, call bells)Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; and oral and dental careEncourage participation in programs offered by the Resident Experience TeamWho You AreYou are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fullyYou have completed a Health Care Aide program from an approved collegeYou are detail-oriented and proficient in procedures involved in providing bedside careYou exercise tact and diplomacy when working with seniors, families and visitorsWhat You Need To KnowSienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment.
