We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience, assisting clients with flooring selections, managing projects throughout the project life, and ensuring smooth execution from initial consultation through project completion.Salary: Starting at $40,000 plus commission (based on experience)Days: Monday - Saturday (two days off/week - Sundays + a weekday)ResponsibilitiesUtilize RFMS software to manage all project-related tasks, including creating quotes, work orders, purchase orders, and pick tickets.Answer and manage incoming phone calls on the sales floor, providing prompt and professional customer support.Assist customers with product selection by offering expert guidance and custom flooring design solutions tailored to their needs.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through exceptional service and timely follow-ups.Oversee flooring projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.Stay up to date with the latest product offerings, design trends, and pricing changes to provide accurate and informed recommendations.Coordinate material ordering and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.Communicate effectively with clients, installers, and project managers throughout each phase of the project.Conduct site visits when necessary to confirm project specifications and verify customer satisfaction.Provide outstanding customer service on the showroom floor, guiding clients through the sales process with professionalism and enthusiasm.Contribute to the overall appearance and organization of the showroom by managing samples, updating displays, and keeping the space clean and inviting.Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in sales, preferably within the flooring, home improvement, or interior design industries.Working knowledge of project management/sales software (preferred).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Professional, customer-first attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality service.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing client needs or project requirements.Basic knowledge of flooring materials, installation practices, and design principles is beneficial but not necessary; training is provided.Willingness to conduct site visits and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesRetailLocation: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
