Data Engineer

Dawn InfoTek Inc. is a reputable IT consulting team that partners with major financial institutions, investment firms, and government sectors. They specialize in providing cutting-edge consulting services and recruiting IT positions at all levels. They are currently seeking competent individuals to join their dynamic team as Data Engineers for their client, where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop Data Quality and Data Profiling solutions, data pipelines, services, and components to enable enterprise-wide use of Data Quality Services
- Collaborate with Enterprise platform partners, IT partners, Data Governance Offices, and business users to build well-managed data quality that drives transparency and ensures high data quality across the bank
- Work closely with data engineers and DevOps engineers to build data management capabilities that drive real business outcomes
- Participate in planning and retrospective sessions, attend stand-ups, etc.
- Enhance Data Quality capabilities in collaboration with Solution leads
This role requires you to have:
- Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience
- ETL Talend, DataStage
- Python, DBT, BigQuery
- Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Big data technologies (Spark, Hive, Airflow)
- Understanding of data management disciplines such as data quality, data profiling
You would benefit from having:
- Previous experience working in a financial institution
- Experience with Talend, IBM DataStage
The position is a full-time, fixed-term contract. The work location is hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5H 0B4. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.
