OverviewOur client is seeking a contract based consultant with a strong background in Microsoft Copilot implementation.The role will include helping multiple clients in the Copilot adoption, data governance programs (records management) and potentially working with Microsoft Purview.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, configuration, and deployment of Microsoft Copilot solutions within Microsoft 365.Design and implement governance controls using Microsoft Purview for information protection, eDiscovery, insider risk, and compliance monitoring.Align Copilot capabilities with records management policies and regulatory requirements, leveraging Purview for retention and labeling.Define and operationalize data governance frameworks, including metadata standards, retention schedules, and classification models.Ensure integration of Copilot and Purview with information management, security, and privacy practices.Conduct stakeholder workshops to define Copilot and Purview use cases, adoption strategies, and governance guardrails.Develop and deliver training, communications, and adoption materials for business teams.Assess risks related to AI-assisted content creation and data handling; recommend mitigation controls leveraging Purview compliance features.Provide expert guidance on compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 15489, ISO 27001, NIST, provincial/federal privacy acts).Support the evaluation and continuous improvement of data governance maturity across the organization.RequirementsProven experience in Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Purview implementations, including setup, customization, policy configuration, and adoption enablement.Strong background in records management, including classification, retention/disposition, and compliance with industry/government standards.7+ years of relevant consulting or implementation experience in information management, data governance, or enterprise IT projects.Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, COBIT) and hands-on experience with governance tools.Familiarity with privacy, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments (public sector, financial services, healthcare, etc.).Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate, IGP (Information Governance Professional), or CRM (Certified Records Manager).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesProfessional Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
