Base pay range CA$46,000.00/yr - CA$55,000.00/yr The Opportunity We’re looking for a Bilingual Reconciliations Administrator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Control Services, the Bilingual Reconciliations Administrator is responsible for completing reconciliations and reporting by prescribed internal and regulatory deadlines for multiple lines of business. These reconciliations cover control accounts, mutual fund positions, GICs, pool funds, bank accounts and any other products as required. The admin must identify all exceptions, review and work with the appropriate teams internally and/or externally to resolve them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the role interacts with multiple internal departments as well as Fund Companies, GIC Issuers, Portfolio Managers, Credit Unions and Bank providers. What your day looks like Complete reconciliations required internally and by regulatory bodies (CIRO) Liaise with appropriate internal and external departments to rectify any outages between the firm and the fund companies Gain an understanding of the regulatory requirements that these tasks satisfy Ensure all unit exceptions are resolved by reporting deadlines Ensure non‑financial discrepancies are updated Provide support for dealer rep maintenance functions Complete all bank reconciliations for Operating and Trust/Client related bank accounts; review exceptions and follow up with the banking group or bank providers to resolve in a timely manner Ensure Credit Unions complete their bank reconciliations monthly and follow up directly on any outages Assist with any inquiries to the team regarding account positions Assist with the setup of new reconciliations as products come onboard Maintain the procedures manual and continually review the process to find opportunities for ongoing improvements Assist with any internal or external audit inquiries in relation to reconciliations Requirements Post‑secondary education and a degree in Business Administration or Finance is an asset 1 year related financial industry work experience Knowledge of current operational procedures governing the mutual fund and security industry IFIC or CSC designation is an asset Extremely detail‑oriented and accurate Excellent problem‑solving skills to perform analysis of exception issues and determine solutions Demonstrates the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced environment Flexible to meet changing needs and manage deadlines Excellent time‑management and organizational skills to meet time constraints Intermediate computer skills and advanced skills in Excel and Access are an asset Experience using Dataphile and FundCom is an asset Fluency (written and spoken) in English and French is required to effectively communicate with partners, clients, and colleagues across Canada Benefits Competitive compensation package that rewards and recognizes individual contributions Excellent health, dental and insurance benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees Generous vacation time, fitness benefit, parental leave top‐up options Matching contributions to our retirement program Commitment to the continuous improvement of our staff through learning & development and an education assistance program Regular social events to foster teamwork Your Information By submitting your application, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your provided personal information for the purposes of assessing your qualifications and suitability for employment with Aviso.
