Senior Manager, Production Finance Systems & Workflows Base pay range: CA$160,000 – CA$200,000 per year. This critical leadership role supports the company’s production finance operations and production accounting activities across VFX and studio projects. The position reports to the Director, Production Finance and leads a team of finance professionals. Key Responsibilities Provide full-cycle production finance support for VFX supervisor loan‑out arrangements, including contract review, payment processing, compliance, and financial reporting. Manage production finance for “Hub and Spoke” models, overseeing budgeting, cost tracking, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Oversee production finance for outsourced roto‑paint, match‑move, and other post‑production services, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely payments. Lead tax incentive audits, including calculation of incentive amounts, documentation review, vendor declaration letters, and audit coordination with external auditors and tax authorities. Partner with accounting to ensure accurate and timely monthly revenue recognition for all VFX projects, preparing supporting schedules and reconciliations. Coordinate project setups and wrap procedures, handling hand‑offs to production finance leads for VFX and studio projects, including system setup, budget input, and final cost reporting. Oversee invoicing and collections processes for all projects, ensuring timely billing, cash‑flow management, and resolution of client queries. Provide financial support for purchasing and accounting activities related to VFX and stage productions, covering purchase order management, production payroll, purchasing‑card management, and expense tracking. Architect, maintain, and validate data workflows for payroll labor books, cost reports, and productivity reports, ensuring data integrity across all financial systems. Prepare, review, and maintain cost reports for internal studio projects and special projects, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with overall financial objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum 7 years’ experience in production finance, FP&A, or accounting, preferably within the VFX, animation, or entertainment industry. Proven experience managing complex, multi‑vendor projects and outsourced workflows. Strong knowledge of tax incentive programs and audit processes. Advanced proficiency with finance systems (e.g., Workday), Excel, and Google Sheets; experience with DataRails and Tableau is a plus. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Familiarity with Google Gemini or similar is a plus.
