Job Description Reporting to the Director, Product Development, Sun Life Health, the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete product development lifecycle. Building on our leadership in insurance and financial services, the candidate will determine what health products will further enable us to meet client needs, while establishing new growth avenues for Sun Life. Types of health products could include chronic disease management programs, as well as new health products targeted at high priority segments. The role involves designing the concept, working cross‑functionally to bring it to life, piloting with the right audience, measuring outcomes and pivoting on features, and rolling out final solutions for priority segments. The individual will also work across business units to collaborate and co‑create on health value propositions for Sun Life’s Wealth and Protection/Insurance clients. What will you do? Engage with other business units (Retail Advice & Solutions, Group Retirement Solutions) to determine health needs of Clients, and identify opportunities to differentiate with health solutions for new segments – potential areas of interest could include aging, caregiving and longevity, amongst others. Leverage primary and secondary research tools to understand market trends supporting priority segments, while analyzing internal data to define hypotheses and learning objectives. Design pilot constructs based on those learning objectives, with user experience at the helm; leverage internal experimentation tools to determine the best ways to test and learn with users (web/mobile experiments, focus groups, surveys and interviews etc.). Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) or metrics that measure results from pilots and determine success; leverage learnings to articulate opportunities for pivoting for improved outcomes. Engage with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Client Experience Office, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, etc.) to socialize and finesse pilot constructs and final solutions. What do you need to succeed? Ability to think at the detailed diagnostic/tactical level, as well as at the higher strategic/opportunity level. Strong, analytically anchored problem‑solving skills, including working with data, conducting analysis and interpreting results. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships across the organization. Experience conducting in‑depth secondary research, including collection and synthesis. Resourceful in learning and ramping up content knowledge in new domains rapidly. Strong results‑oriented innovation and/or product design skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail. 3‑5 years of relevant business experience, with experience and interest in the caregiving, aging and longevity spaces, and/or proficiency in digital health product development. What will be nice to have? Experience in business case development. Experience and/or knowledge of Sun Life's business. Salary Range: 80,000 – 128,000 CAD. Base Pay depends on location and other factors. Eligible employees participate in incentive plans subject to performance.
