2025-338; Technical Infrastructure Architect 2 This role involves maintaining the performance and security of City of Burnaby’s data networks, infrastructure software and hardware, ensuring efficient operation of local and wide area networks, and supporting specialized technologies. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze network and infrastructure performance, improving efficiency. Support specialized technologies and investigate and resolve network hardware, software, and system problems. Prepare and maintain network documentation and capacity plans. Design or revise changes to network infrastructure and enterprise architecture in response to evolving requirements. Integrate and support on-premise and cloud-based disaster recovery practices and failovers. Perform related work as required. Qualifications Graduation from an institute of technology with a diploma in computer systems technologies or equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of local and wide area network technologies, server and workstation operating systems, hardware platforms, firewalls, and configuration options. Proficiency in problem definition and solution techniques relevant to the role. Ability to monitor network efficiency and implement remedial actions. Ability to investigate and resolve infrastructure hardware and operating system related problems. Experience testing and evaluating infrastructure application software and recommending standard configurations. Project leadership capability, establishing priorities, scheduling workload to meet deadlines and objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical presentations. Proficiency in building effective relationships with staff and external contacts. Driver’s licence for the Province of British Columbia. Please apply online by December 4, 2025.
