  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, helping to develop their careers with the right projects and feedback, and removing any roadblocks that get in their way.

  • Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity and quality by developing norms, tools and processes, and ensuring they are followed within the team.

  • Recruit a diverse team of engineers that are among the best in the industry, from outreach through close.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

  • Guide the development process and ensure best practices are followed, including agile methodologies and software development principles.

  • Continuously assess team performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve productivity and quality.

  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring that the team is appropriately staffed and that resources are effectively utilized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years of experience managing a team.

  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development and architecture.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development principles.

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills, in order to launch new products and to iterate on existing ones.

  • The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.

  • Experience managing engineering teams with a strong record of shipping.

  • An understanding of the technical details of projects, in order to be able to drive the technical roadmap of the team.

  • Strong recruiting skills, with a track record of hiring new team members who are extremely effective over the long term.
