The Retail Sales Manager oversees the sales strategies and operations for the retail segment for both categories: oil and dates. This role involves developing and executing sales plans, managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring market expansion across Canada. This position is pivotal for driving business growth and ensuring successful market penetration.

The Sales Manager achieves monthly KPIs and targets via:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including retail chains, and independent retailer buyers across Canada
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability
  • Address client needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management
  • Monitor and report on market conditions, including pricing, demand, and competition
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
    • Educational background in business, marketing, communication, business administration, or a related field
    • Over 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably grocery retail experience
    • Knowledge of the US grocery market - an additional plus
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • In-depth knowledge of the grocery retail industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Organization and time management skills
    • The ability to use sales software and other sales tools
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
    • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment
    • Travel to food shows and customer meetings across Canada
