ISA Certified Arborist/ Arborist page is loaded## ISA Certified Arborist/ Arboristlocations: Edmonton, Albertatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR121111# **Wright Tree Service of Canada****The Position:** ISA Certified Arborist/ Arborist**Type:** Full-time **Reports To:** General ForepersonWright Tree Service, a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, provides vegetation management, storm restoration, and work planning services to utility companies and their communities across North America.**Why Wright Canada Holdings:*** A Company Culture of Safety, Family, Integrity, Excellence and Stewardship.* Pay rate of $30 to $34 per hour.* A Monday to Friday work week.* We provide ALL equipment needed except your CSA Certified Work Boots.* Compensated travel time, depending on working location, and live out allowance* Medical and Dental benefits.* Employee Ownership potential.**Key Responsibilities:*** Prune trees to remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches to improve their structure, appearance, and safety.* Ensure proper pruning techniques are followed to avoid damaging the tree.* Work with tree-climbing techniques or aerial lifts for larger trees.* Supervise arborist laborers or tree care crews during tree care projects.* Coordinate and manage tasks on larger job sites, ensuring smooth operations and safe practices.* Evaluate site conditions and recommend the best tree care practices for the location.* Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.* Requests repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.* Maintain detailed records of tree care activities, including treatments, inspections, and maintenance schedules.* Other duties as required.**Experience and Knowledge Expectations:*** Current ISA Certification, or ability to obtain certification OR 2 years’ experience trimming/ pruning trees in a residential setting.* Valid Class 5 driver’s license with less than 6 demerits; air brakes endorsement is considered an asset.* Applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening.* Valid First-Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.* Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments.* Motivated to learn independently and from team members, with strong time management skills.* Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment.* Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE.* Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations during emergencies.* Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits would be considered an asset.**Join Our Team:**Wright Tree Service of Canada is a business unit of an employee-owned company formed in 2017, known as Wright Canada Holdings (WCH).
