EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join our management team as Executive Director at Nishnawbe Aski Legal Services Corporation (NALSC). Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee the operations of Nishnawbe Aski Legal Services Corporation (the “Corporation”) and support the Board of Directors to ensure the organization is working within its Vision and Mandate.

The Executive Director is responsible for a variety of duties, including overseeing human and financial obligations of the corporation, negotiating for program funding, advocating for justice services for NAN people and communities, and building and maintaining healthy relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the Chiefs of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.Must possess, at a minimum, a post-secondary degree or diploma in law, business administration, finance, human resources, or related fields.Education and/or equivalent experience in the Ontario Legal system.Familiarity with geographical area of Nishnawbe-Aski Legal communities.Experience with the Euro-Canadian Legal system and knowledge of indigenous justice systems.Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, or Cree would be a definite asset.6% pension matching.Hours: Full Time (35 Hours Per Week)
