Title: Senior Accountant – Consolidation

Location: Montreal (must be local)

Term: 6 months with possibility of conversion to Full-time

Schedule: Hybrid - 1-2 days per week in Montreal office

Role: We are looking for a Senior Accountant – Consolidation to deliver consolidation services to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting and reporting requirements and regulations in accordance with IFRS and client policies.

Scope:

  1. Participating in the monthly consolidation of the Product Groups.
  2. Training and guiding the team to deliver qualitative and timely results.
  3. Preparing and conducting training programs for internal teams.
  4. Analyzing consolidated financial statements to ensure output is compliant with the requirements of all stakeholders.
  5. Preparing financial reports for senior management.
  6. Providing HFM guidance and other accounting advice to our controllership and finance service team to improve performance.
  7. Ensuring periodic Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) compliance as applicable, supporting and liaising with Internal/External Auditors during SOX and Substantive audits to ensure a fully compliant environment.
  8. Continuously improving our processes with an innovative mindset by leveraging data analytics and digital solutions.
  9. Collaborating with various teams across the global organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, accounting certification CPA or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in consolidation in a large multi-national organization.
  3. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) would be an asset.
  4. Strong understanding of IFRS.
  5. Experience in preparing consolidated statement of cash flows is an asset.
  6. Understanding of accounting for financial assets and liabilities is an asset.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  8. Ability to work with various teams spread throughout many countries and time zones.
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  10. Analytical and problem-solving skills, including variance analysis capabilities.
  11. Ability to speak, read, and write in English and French preferred.
  12. Beneficial to have SAP experience.
