Hybrid Work Model This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: two days in office and the remaining days remote, with office days ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Why This Job's a Big Deal Have the opportunity to design new machine learning models and build new machine learning products in a small but growing team within a large organization. Solve real world problems that span various domains within our business such as search optimization, NLP, computer vision, sales forecasting, and hypothesis testing. In This Role You Will Get To Develop, productionize and maintain machine learning models on large, noisy datasets to solve business problems. Work with big, noisy, and novel datasets. Research and design your own solutions. Evaluate and improve existing machine learning models. Work alongside data scientists and developers to integrate machine learning solutions into production platforms. Understand business requirements from non‑technical team members. Present technical solutions to non‑technical team members. Technologies Used Python, Tensorflow, Keras, Spark, Numpy, Pandas, Spacy and many other tools and libraries. We train our models using Google’s Vertex AI. We process large quantities of data streamed from many different applications to test and build our models. We leverage the Vertex AI Platform to assist in labeling tasks. Who You Are Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, etc. 3+ years of experience with demonstrated technical skills in NLP, classification, statistical modelling, deep learning and forecasting. Experience implementing artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions in Python and PyTorch, scikit‑learn. Professional experience developing machine learning models. Experience working with Spark/Pyspark on large and noisy datasets and the steps to normalize and cleanse them. Experience evaluating and improving existing machine learning models. Eagerness to learn new techniques, technologies, solve problems and contribute in a team environment. Experience with Tensorflow, Keras, Pandas, Numpy and Flask. Experience with data engineering and ETL pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Kafka, or similar. Hands‑on with feature store design, embedding models, or learning‑to‑rank techniques (XGBoost, LightGBM, deep LTR). Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust. Unquestionable integrity and ethics is essential. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience in search or recommendation systems within e‑commerce or travel domains. Familiarity with LLMs and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) for search/chat use cases. Experience with solr search, vector search, LangChain, or Vertex AI. Exposure to real‑time inference and streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink). Background in user behavior modeling and causal inference for ranking.
